Looking Ahead: Two more budget meetings, special revenue budget amendments
May 20 council meeting agenda does not include general fund budget change authorization previously tabled at May 6 meeting; strategic plan meeting scheduled for next week after delays
The Hyattsville city council will meet in a closed, or private, session on May 20, 2024 to discuss “pending litigation” with the city attorney and staff. At its public session, the council will consider two amendments to the fiscal year 2024 special revenues budget and three discretionary fund disbursements totaling $1,328, according to the agenda.
At the last council meeting, the council voted to table a blanket authorization for the city treasurer, Ronald Brooks, to make unspecified amendments to the FY 2024 general fund. The council planned to consider the authorization at the upcoming May 20 meeting, but this item does not appear on the agenda.
