The city of Hyattsville posted its fiscal year 2022 audited annual comprehensive financial statement (ACFR) on Wednesday, coming in just under the two year overdue mark. The FY 2022 audit is dated six months after the release of the (corrected) FY 2021 financial statements in April of this year, making it the fastest turnaround between audits the city has managed since the earliest available audit in FY 2007.
A full analysis will take over a month, as Route One Finance waits for the public presentation by the auditor, comment from the city, and inevitable Public Information Act requests. But for paid subscribers, I have a preliminary analysis focusing on the basic financial statement portion of the ACFR — the section that Lindsey + Associates, the city’s auditor, has given the formal stamp of approval.
